The actresses guild is one of the most talked
about when it comes to the topic of pregnancy
and maternity. The changes in the sillouette
are carefully monitored and admired by the media
and public.
Keira Knightley and Rosamund Pike
opted for conservative outfits at the
SAG awards,
the actors guild awards celebrated in Los Angeles.
Keira Knightley opted for an Erdem dress that
didn't highlight her pregnancy or attempt to
hide it. Rosemund Pike, who had just given birth
some weeks ago, opted for
Dior dress that covered
her silhouette. It looks like the extreme
post-pregnancy diets of actresses are over, in
exchange for a more relaxed approach to motherhood.
This shift in mentality comes with a further
appreciation of what were previously
considered "unwanted" actresses. Pregnant actresses,
overweight and mature actresses were previously
excluded from the industry. Many actresses that could
fall under this category were recognised in the
2015 SAG awards, like Debby Reynolds, Naomi
Watts (Birdman), Julianne Moore (Still Alice)
and Patricia Arquette for Boyhood.
