A photographer named Aran Pam has captured what it looks like to fly on North Korean airline
Air Koryo. The planes used in North Korea are
Soviet-era planes which were designed and used
in the 1950s. The airline review website Skytrak
gave the airline 1 star in a recent review.
In 2006 it was temporarily banned from flying in
the European Union due to safety concerns. North Korea's main airport Pyongyang was shown to have been deserted with very few people flying in and out of North Korea. Mr Aran Pam revealed his flight with Air Koryo was an overall pleasant experience despite the fear of flying in an old plane with outdated technology. There has been recent speculation over North Korea's leader Kim Jong-Un who had not been seen in public since September 3rd, 2014. Senior officials insist he is healthy despite having missed several official events in the last month.
