Star Wars VII gets £8million tax break

Star Wars VII gets £8million tax break
Disney has been handed an £8million tax
break by HM Revenue & Customs- for the
upcoming film Star Wars VII.
Star Wars VII comes out in 2015, and
marks the return of Carrie Fisher,
Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill to the
Star Wars saga that they starred in
three decades ago.
Filming location for the Seventh
installment of the Saga is under way at
the Pinewood Studios in the UK.
The £8million tax break was paid out under the Government's film tax credit scheme. This scheme entitles any film in the UK that costs more than £20million to claim back up to 20 per cent of production costs. The scheme keeps British production staff in jobs.
