The Mary Jane have made a comeback
onto the catwalk this 2014-2015.
Mary Jane's embelished in glitter,
diamonds, flowers, colours,
different textures; this is what
the designers offer this season,
a twist on the classic Mary Jane.
This shoe is a reference to 1960s
fashion. Slimane has added
glitter to the shoes, much like
the Ruby Red Slippers Dorothy
wore in the Wizard of Oz.
Dolce & Gabbana have given the
shoes a regal look with
embellished jewels. Nina Ricci
gave the Mary Jane a 70s
disco look, while Valentino gave the Mary Jane a
minimalistic elegant twist.
