Evan Rachel Wood in comedy-drama Barefoot

Evan Rachel Wood and Scott Speedman star in "Barefoot", a romantic comedy-drama and remake of the 2005 German film "Barfuss". Jay (Scott Speedman) is a handsome son of a New Orleans well-to-do family who likes to party and spend his family's money away. He runs up a debt with a casino and attends his brother's wedding with Daisy (Evan Rachel Wood) to show his family he is in a stable relationship and deserves a handout to cover his debts. Daisy is really a patient at a mental hospital who has lived her whole life locked-up and hasn't experienced the outside world. Daisy's naivete enchants Jay's family but soon Jay and his father have a fall-out, and Jay and Daisy embark on a cross country road trip; and sees Jay falling in love with Daisy and re-considering his party lifestyle. The film has been met with mixed reviews, however Wood has been acclaimed for her performance in the role of Daisy. The film is directed by Andrew Fleming.
