Eddie Redmayne becomes Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything

The Theory of Everything is a romantic comedy about the life of famous theoretical physicist, Stephen Hawking. The film is based on Jane Hawking's memoirs "Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen". In chronicles the story of Stephen when he fell madly in love with Jane, when they were both students at Cambridge University. Once healthy and active, Stephen is diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and given a life expectancy of 2 years. Hawking and Jane remain together and Hawking embarks on his most ambitious scientific work. The struggle and hope of the couple help them achieve important discoveries in medicine and science that trancended in time. Eddie Redmayne plays Stephen Hawking and Felicity Jones plays Jane Hawking. Redmayne faced challenges during filming, the movie was not filmed in chronological order and the disability and illness was hard to project from Hawking's deteriorating body. Hawking gave Redmayne his blessing and lended his electronic voice for the real film. Stephen Hawking saw the film at the Toronto International Film Festival and a nurse was reported to have wiped a tear from his eye. Redmayne is tipped to be in the contenders for this years Leading Actor's Academy Award.
