It happens to everyone, it's like
clockwork; when your body clock isn't
in shape, you feel wiped out at various
times throughout the day.
Most of the time, the culprits of feeling
tired and grouchy on a regular basis are
our everyday habits: what we eat, how
well we sleep and our emotions. These
tips will help to stop tiredness from getting
the best of you.
1. Exercise every day; Although it may seem like exercise takes away energy, a 20 minute bike ride or a brisk walk can increase energy levels by up to 90%. And the effect is usually immediate, lasting at least one hour.
2. Sleep well; getting an adequate sleep is essential to have energy throughout the day. However, getting up early and not snoozing the alarm clock is important helps keep the biological clock in check.
3. Eat every 3-4 hours; this will keep energy levels up and prevent the body from feeling fatigued, drowsy or brainfog.
4. Think positive; 'if you want it, you can do it'. Do things and chores with inspiration and positivity, change your thoughts towards a happier and more awake self.
5. Keep hydrated; this will help improve your circulation and bring oxygen to the muscles. As a
result you will feel less tired and heavy. 2 litres of water a day is usually the recommended
amount. Remember that fruit and juices can also be hydrating.
