Selena Gomez is battling Lupus

Selena Gomez's grandparents have confirmed the singer
was diagnosed with Lupus two years ago. The actress turned
singer canceled several your dates in late 2013, and
checked herself into rehab.

It has been speculated that as well as having to battle Lupus,
Gomez's stunt in rehab was caused by emotional issues with
her relationship with Jultin Bieber and alcohol addiction.

Her biological fathers parents have spoken out, alledging the singer doesn't take days off or time out from her career. The doctor has also advised time off to take care of her health.

Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease. The body's
immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. Body systems            

that may be affected by Lupus include the skin, kidneys, joints, blood
cells, brain, heart and lungs.

Lupus may be triggered by infections, certain drugs or
sunlight. Symptoms include chest pain, fatigue, fever,
malaise, hair loss, mouth sores, sensitivity to sunlight,
face rash and swollen lympth nodes.

Gomez is currently undergoing treatment for Lupus.
