The 99 year old makes the dresses from her home
Lillian Weber believes there is no age limit to helping
others; it also doesn't require much money or effort.

The 99 year old from Iowa has spent years sewing a dress
each day for a small child in Africa. The dresses are
then collected and sent to children in Africa by the
christian organisation "Little Dresses for Africa".

In the past two years she has made over 840 dresses. She plans to reach a target of 1000 dresses by the time she reaches 100 years of age on May the 6th 2015.

Lillian makes the dress from a pattern but personalises each dress so every little girl can feel unique.

Lillian Weber has become a worldwide inspiration
The reason Lillian makes the dresses is so that each child in need can have something beautiful to wear. Lillian Weber is an inspiration to her friends and family and to all us who have heard her story.

The charity "Little Dresses for Africa" collects distributes dresses to churches, orphanages and schools in Africa.
The goal of this nonprofit organisation is to provide clothing to some of the world's poorest children and to
make little girls realise that despite of the poverty they are born into they are worthy.
